We believe in making our community a healthier, happier and greener place. That means encouraging active transport, for exercise and day to day life, reducing waste and looking after those who need it most. To achieve this we collect bikes from local recycling centres and take in bike donations from corporate partners and the public. We then upcycle those bikes and pass them on to you at a reduced cost. Effectively ensuring that everyone in our community has access to active transport. We even donate many of our bikes to worthy causes.
Because we don’t believe in stigmatizing help we operate an opt in Repair Relief fund. This find grants you a £30 discount on labour on our bike services. We wont ask you for any proof of need, there’s no forms or checks. Simply let us know you want to take part and we will. We only ask that if you don’t need the Repair Relief you don’t opt in, this helps us make sure that we can continue this service for those who truly need it.
Bike Sales
We offer a wide variety of bikes suitable for men, women and children, most of which are offered on a pay what you can afford model. That way no one who wants a bike will be left without one!
Sometimes someone is generous enough to donate a premium model. We price these bikes competitively based on current second hand values. Letting us keep the majority of stock on a pay what you can afford model.
By getting your bike with us you are also helping to reduce waste within the bike industry and within the community. So any bike you get from us is truly green.
Bike Servicing
It’s easier to prevent problems than to fix them! Regular bike checks and maintenance are essential to an enjoyable, safe and healthy experience. We recommend a full service once a year and a regular basic service, especially for frequent cyclists.
To keep everything affordable we operate our Repair Relief which entitles anyone to £30 worth of labour on a repair or service. All you need to do is opt in, there’s no special checks or forms to fill out. That’s a discount equivalent to our basic service, so there’s no excuse not to keep your bike in good condition.
Ensuring that everyone has access to affordable bike maintenance and emergency repairs is important to us. No one is out on their bike if they can’t ride it after all. That’s why we’re passionate about making sure every bike that leaves our store is in top condition.
Bike Recycling
Getting a new bike or a bike service isn’t the only reason to come to us. If you have a bike that’s been sitting out in your shed for years and starting to rust up, bring it in.
That’s right we don’t only accept donations of good as new bikes. Sometimes we’ll be able to give it a whole new life, but if we can’t we’ll still pull a few parts and responsibly dispose of the rest. Saving you the hassle of bringing it to the recycling centre and putting your bike to good use.
