Bike Servicing
Ensuring that your bike is in good condition is an important part of staying safe and healthy when cycling. While we’re ready to make any repairs necessary when your break a chain or bend your wheel, we also recommend getting a regular service done on your bike. This reduces your risk of major problems occurring in your bike and also prevents things like bad cycling posture by making sure everything is correctly adjusted.
We recommend having your bike serviced at least once a year, but the more regularly you cycle the more regularly you should have your bike checked out.
Bikeworks Repair Relief
Keeping with our goal of ensuring that everyone has access to a quality bike we launched the Bikeworks Repair Relief. Under this Relief program we will discount £30 of labour costs from repairs or servicing. That’s enough to avail of our basic service for free (excluding parts).
We wont ask for any proof of income. We believe in destigmatizing the need for programs such as this, so just let us know you want to avail of the Repair Relief and we’ll apply it. We simply ask that those not in need help us to continue this service for everyone by paying what they can.
Bike Servicing Options
Basic Bike Service
Our basic service is designed to give you peace of mind at a low cost. You’ll leave knowing that your gears and breaks are working as they should and that your bike is adjusted correctly.
Includes:
- Inspection of bike
- Adjusting brakes
- Adjusting Gears
- Inflating tyres
- Recommendation of further repairs
Interim Bike Service
The interim service is great for those who cycle regularly or if it’s been awhile since your last service. With a full check and maintenance performed on your bike to ensure safe riding.
Includes:
- Basic Service
- Lubrication of chain, cables & derailleurs
- Check & tighten all nuts and bolts
- Test Ride
Full Bike Service
Our full service is perfect for those that sport cycle in any way. Particularly before a competition. But we also recommend a full service for everyone at least once a year.
Includes:
- Interim service
- Strip down & rebuild
- New bearings, chain & cables
- Wheels trued & tensioned
